Senate Committee on Pension Administration has summoned the EFCC and some commercial banks over alleged mismanagement of pension funds approved by the Federal Government.

Chairman of the Committee, Senator Aloysius Etuk, disclosed this in Abuja following reports of illegal transactions by unpatriotic officials operating bank accounts without the necessary approval of the Accountant-General of the Federation.

Senator Aloysius Etuk noted that such operation with pension funds estimated at three Billion Naira would be properly investigated to deal with corruption in Management of funds allocated for retiree’s benefits without consequences.

The legislator who assured of commitment of the committee to deal with the saboteurs of Federal Government Policy on Pension Reforms warned officials connected with the issue to demonstrate honesty and fear of God to justify public confidence.

Senator Aloysius Etuk also requested information about where about of billions of Naira recovered by a committee set up to probe pension Administration in the country.
