Nigerians from all walks of life have continued to pay tribute to the country’s late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, whose remains were laid to rest in Daura yesterday.

At a third day prayers session held at the deceased’s residence in Daura, different Islamic scholars and Imams took turns to pray for the repose of the soul of the late former Nigerian leader.

In receiving the condolences, Vice President Kashim Shettima represented the federal government while Governor Dikko Radda represented the Katsina State government as the president’s nephew, Maman Daura, received condolences on behalf of the Muhammadu Buhari family.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, and former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.l were among early callers at the third day prayer session.

Also present were many serving and former law makers, ministers, diplomats, former state governors, Emirs and business men and women who paid glowing tributes on late Muhammadu Buhari.

Meanwhile, Vice President Kashim Shettima announced that condolence prayers for the late former President will be officially closed tomorrow.

Shettima explained the the closing prayers will mark the end of the Presidential Delegation’s assignment after which they will return to Abuja while the deceased’s family and the Katsina State government will continue to receive other sympathizers that will pay their condolences afterwards.
