Jigawa State House of Assembly has held a special prayer session in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who was laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.

The prayer was observed during Thursday’s plenary following an instruction from the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin.

Member representing Maigatari Constituency, Honourable Habu Muhammad, who led the prayer for the repose of the soul of former President Muhammadu Buhari, prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy, and for Him in His infinite power to grant him eternal rest.

Habu Muhammad described the death as a great lost to Nigeria as a nation and prayed for Nigerians, the people of Katsina State and the family of the former President the fortitude to bear the loss.
