The National President of Koro Community Development Association Kaduna State, Professor John Yakubu Magaji has called for proper coordination and harmonization of diverse cultures in the State towards achieving lasting peaceful coexistence and societal growth.
He made the call at the maiden Koro Community Cultural Festival with the Theme: “Bridging Generations, Uniting Communities” which took place in Kubacha Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Professor John Yakubu said the maiden annual cultural festival was targeted at building a strong foundation that will revive the rich cultural and traditional values of the people and build sustainable connections across generations, to foster unity for progress, development, and peaceful coexistence with neighbours.

“To our youths-boys and girls of the Koro nation, I urge you to be responsible, hardworking, and committed to your education. Shun all forms of illegal and destructive activities such as internet fraud; kidnapping, banditry, thuggery, cultism and any form of social violence. You are the future, and that future must be preserved and guided wisely.”
The Paramount Traditional Leader of the Koro People Ere Koro, Dr. Yohanna Akaito commended Federal and the State Governments for putting in place proper measures for lasting peace and bringing infrastructural Development in the area.
In a message, Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarebe described the event as timely because the state is in dire need of cultural revival that will enhance government efforts in peace building.

Prominent Sons and Daughters of the Community including Neighboring Communities and Political Office Holders graced the event while traditional dancers were lined up to entertain and showcase the vibrant cultural dances of the Koro People.
