Jigawa state and Local Government Contributory Pension Scheme says it has completed the payment of terminal benefit worth over one point seven billion Naira to 707 beneficiaries.

The Executive Secretary of the scheme, Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse, the state capital.

He explained that, over one point four  billion naira was paid as gratuity to five hundred and eighty two state, local and local education authority staff.

He said, two hundred and twenty three million naira was paid as death benefit to families of eighty one civil servants.

Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa further explained that, the scheme also paid over thirty nine million naira to eighteen families of pensioners as well as death pension balance.

According to him, over three million naira was paid as refund of eight percent contribution to eight civil servants.

The Pension Boss commended the beneficiaries for the maturity shown during the payment exercise.
