Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, says the state government has ordered new security vehicles, including armoured vehicles, to strengthen security operations across the state.
Governor Idris disclosed this during sympathy visits to Jandutsi in Jega Local Government Area and Andarai in Maiyama Local Government Area, where he commiserated with victims of recent attacks and displaced residents.

He said the vehicles and additional security personnel deployed to vulnerable areas would enhance the capacity of security agencies to respond swiftly to emerging threats.

The Governor assured affected communities of continued government support, including relief assistance, and said efforts would be intensified to prevent further attacks and ensure residents could go about their activities without fear.

He also called for stronger cooperation among states, particularly in border communities, through increased intelligence sharing and joint efforts to tackle insecurity.
The District Heads of Jandutsi and Andarai, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar and Alhaji Muhammad Aliyu, commended the Governor for the relief assistance and appealed for permanent security personnel, support for local vigilantes and temporary shelters for displaced residents.
