Zamfara State Police Command has paraded a notorious Bandit, Bandit’s Informants, fake Military officer and other criminals in Gusau.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf revealed this while addressing journalists through the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, while parading the Ten suspects arrested by the Police Tactical Operatives during an intelligence led operations conducted in some criminal hideouts in Gusau, Kaura Namoda and Tsafe LGAs respectively.
According the CP, the notorious syndicate of bandits informants and collaborators terrorized the peace loving people of the three LGAs and environs.
He noted that, Police operatives have recovered One AK47 rifle, One LAR rifle and 174 rounds of live ammunitions from a notorious Bandit, Umar Namaro ‘M’ aged 35 years of Mada District in Gusau Local Government Area who was arrested along Gusau – Kwatarkwashi – Mada Axis while on surveillance patrol.
According to him, in the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed to be one of the notorious bandits terrorizing Mada and Kotor Koshi with banditry attacks, Kidnapping, Cattle Rustling and other heinous crime.
The Police also arrested one Zainu Lawal, ‘M’ aged 39 of Tsafe LGA, who claimed to be a ex-soldier, arrested in possession of a locally fabricated revolver Gun, Military camouflage uniform, fake Military I.D Card and other dangerous weapons.
SP Shehu added that all the suspects will be charged to Court for Prosecution, upon completion of the ongoing investigation.
