Christians have been urged to seek divine wisdom and revelation to overcome difficult situations, while traditional rulers have been challenged to build a legacy of faith, service and commitment to peace in their communities.

The Senior Pastor and Founder of Covenant Nations, Lagos, Pastor Poju Oyemade, gave the charge while ministering at the ongoing 22nd International Prophetic Prayer Conference organised by the Throneroom Trust Ministry in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.

Speaking on seven principles of prevailing prayer, Oyemade said God could transform situations that appeared hopeless into opportunities for victory through divine intervention.

He explained that what people perceive as darkness or defeat could hold possibilities for a breakthrough if they received divine direction and understood what God was doing in their circumstances.

Drawing from the Book of Ephesians, the cleric referenced Apostle Paul’s prayer for believers to receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation, with the eyes of their understanding enlightened.

He said one of the ways God demonstrates His mercy is by opening the eyes of His people to see beyond their immediate challenges and recognise the opportunities He has made available.

Oyemade therefore encouraged Christians to remain sensitive to the prophetic dimension of their relationship with God, noting that His methods of intervention could differ from one situation to another.

He urged believers not to conclude that a situation was hopeless when confronted with a dead end, but to seek God for the wisdom to recognise the way forward.

In a related development, the Vision Pioneer of Throneroom Trust Ministry, Kafanchan, Apostle Dr Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, has called on Christian traditional rulers to establish a lasting foundation of faith that would continue beyond their reign.

Apostle Kure made the call during a special session for the rededication and prayers for traditional rulers and the land, urging them to use their positions to promote God’s work and nurture successors who would sustain the values of faith.

He also prayed for God to ease the burdens and responsibilities carried by traditional rulers across Northern Nigeria, particularly their efforts to secure peace and stability in their communities.

Responding on behalf of the Northern Christian Traditional Leaders Forum, its Vice Chairman, the Kpop Gwong, Colonel Paul Zakka Nyom (rtd.), thanked Apostle Kure for inviting the traditional rulers and praying for them and the restoration of peace in the region.

Nyom reminded the traditional rulers that they must continue to see themselves as servants of God, stressing that traditional leadership requires humility, responsibility and commitment to the welfare of the people.

The traditional rulers, in their response, pledged to remain committed to the responsibilities entrusted to them and continue providing responsible leadership in their respective communities.

The session also featured special prayers for Southern Kaduna, seeking divine direction for the people ahead of the forthcoming general elections, particularly in making informed choices and ensuring a peaceful electoral process.

Prayers were equally offered for divine intervention in the affairs of the region, the restoration of peace and the strengthening of traditional institutions across Northern Nigeria.
