Jigawa State House of Assembly has passed the amended supplementary budget of the 20.2 Billion Naira bill into law.    

The amount sent by the executive was 19.7 billion naira while the House of Assembly added 600 million naira to ensure the completion of constituency projects.

Radio Nigeria reports that the deliberation on the supplementary budget was conducted during the committee sitting of the House chaired by the speaker, Alhaji Idris Garba Jahun, while the Majority leader moved the motion to allow for the additional 600 million naira to complete numerous constituency projects by the end of the year.

Other members of the assembly that have contributed during the deliberation include member representing Kafin Hausa, Mallam Muhammad Adamu, Gwaram constituency Alhaji Isah Idris and Hadejia constituency Muhammad Abubakar Saqid Jallo.

Others include Sule Tankarkar-Muhammad Abubakar Sa’id, Ringim constituency Aminu Sule Sankara and Gwiwa constituency Aminu Zakari Tsibut.

The members pointed out that, the supplementary budget would pave the way for the provision of additional social amenities and critical infrastructure, especially in the education, healthcare, water and roads, hence the need for collective support for the passage of the bill into law for the wellbeing of the people.
