Critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress APC in the North West Zone of Nigeria have resolved to reconcile its aggrieved members in preparations for the upcoming General Election in 2023

This is contained in a statement after the Party’s stakeholder Meeting held in Kaduna to map out strategies that will lead APC to victory.

It also indicates that participants including the North West leadership of the party, Governors, Ministers and Gubernatorial candidates from the seven States of the Zone received and reviewed reports from the National and state levels.

The statement signed by Zonal Publicity Secretary of the Party, Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada adds that the Stakeholders acknowledged challenges facing some state chapters of the party and resolved to promote efforts at reconciliation as an urgent priority.

It notes that the report being read by National Vice Chairman North-West of the party Malam Salihu Lukman on the state of affairs of the party of which participants welcomed the initiative to commence the consultative meeting towards strengthening the party in the North West and improve leadership engagements and cohesion within the zone.

The statement, therefore, extols the contributions of the zone to the emergence and growth of the APC since 2015 with the Zone providing about 39% of the votes the party recorded in the 2019 and 2015 presidential elections.

It also states that the Participants requested the National Vice-Chairman of the zone to ensure that the consultative meeting is sustained as a vital tool for cohesion within the Party
