His eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has directed Muslims in the country to start looking for the new moon of Rabiu Awwal tomorrow the seventh of October 2021 equivalent to Islamic calander, 29, 1443 AH after hijira.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Chairman Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs of the sultanate council, Professor Sambo Wali Junaid.
The statement says if sighted, the information should be forwarded to the nearest district or village head for onward communication to the sultanate.
