Sarkin Hausawa of Port Harcourt Alhaji Musa Sa’idu

The Leader of the Arewa Community in Nigeria’s South-South geopolitical zone, Alhaji Musa Saidu, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governors of the region on the occasion of this year’s Democracy Day.

In a message commemorating the celebration, Alhaji Saidu, who is also the Sarkin Hausawa of Port Harcourt, expressed delight over the sacrifices made in the struggle for the restoration and sustenance of democracy in Nigeria.

He commended the achievements recorded under democratic governance and urged politicians across the country to always adhere to democratic principles and the rule of law.

The traditional leader called on Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic or religious backgrounds, to support and cooperate with the current administration in its efforts to advance national development and improve the lives of citizens.

Alhaji Saidu also urged Nigerians to continue praying for peace, stability and prosperity in the country, asking Allah to ease the nation’s challenges for the benefit of the masses.

Speaking on the security situation, he appealed to security agencies to intensify efforts toward addressing insecurity and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the country.

The Sarkin Hausawa of Port Harcourt further called on northerners residing in the South-South region to remain united, cooperate with one another and support the legitimate traditional council under his leadership.

He stated that the Council of the Sarkin Hausawa of Port Harcourt remains committed to promoting the welfare and interests of the Arewa community in Rivers State.

Alhaji Saidu therefore urged members of the community to embrace understanding, unity and collaboration for their collective progress and development.

He congratulated all Nigerians on the Democracy Day celebration and prayed for greater peace, unity and harmonious coexistence among the country’s diverse ethnic and religious groups.

The Arewa leader also appealed to governments at all levels to prioritise the welfare and well-being of citizens in order to enhance living standards and strengthen public confidence in democratic governance.
