The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kwara state chapter has announced Kale Kawu as the consensus candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

In a statement personally signed by the party leaders in the state and the former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki says the decision was arrived at after an extensive consultation with stakeholders.

The statement appreciates other aspirants who, in the supreme interest of the party and state, have graciously stepped down to support the consensus.

According to the statement, it is this spirit of unity and selflessness that will carry the party to victory.

The statement wishes party members, delegates, and teeming supporters a successful, peaceful, and orderly outing in other engagements.
