The Chairman of Birnin Kudu Local Government, Dr. Builder Muhammad Uba, has launched a cash donation drive aimed at supporting less-privileged residents of the area during the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Dr. Muhammad Uba explained that beneficiaries were selected from across the 11 wards of Birnin Kudu Local Government Area.

He pointed out that, a total of 110 people received 20,000 naira each, while 50 people also received 50,000 each so as to bring relief to families and individuals in need during the month of Ramadan.

According to him, this initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on citizens during the ramadan period.

He urged the beneficiaries to use the funds given to them wisely.

Dr. Muhammad Uba expressed gratitude to Governor Malam Umar Namadi for his tireless efforts in ensuring the welfare of Jigawa state citizens.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the chairman, describing the gesture exhibited as timely.

They prayed for the continued success of the Chairman and Governor Umar Namadi.
