Bandits who abducted the Ojibara of Bayagan in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Kamilu Salami, have demanded N150 million for his release.

Radio Nigeria gathered that the kidnappers contacted the community in the early hours of Sunday to present their demand.

Sources said the gunmen instructed the monarch to speak with members of his community to confirm that he was in their custody.

During the brief conversation, the abducted monarch reportedly appealed to his people to negotiate with the bandits to secure his quick release.

He also informed them that several other persons were abducted in a neighbouring community as he was being taken away.

Alhaji Kamilu Salami was kidnapped around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday when armed bandits invaded his farm and whisked him away.
