Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has re-affirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to addressing shared security challenges in the sahel region.

He stated this at the maiden International Defence and Security Exhibition (BAMEX 2025), holding in Mali.

Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar described BAMEX 2025 as a testament to the long-standing friendship and co-operation between both nations.

He also paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Mali, General Abdoulaye Maiga at his office in Bamako.

During the visit, Prime Minister Maiga expressed deep appreciation for the Minister’s participation in the exhibition.

According to a statement by the Minister’s Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity Mati Ali says BAMEX 2025 serves as a vital platform for African nations and international partners to foster partnerships aimed at addressing contemporary security challenges across the continent.
