The Nasarawa State Government has condemned the recent midnight attack on residents of Sarkin Noma community in Keana Local Government Area by yet-to-be identified gunmen.

Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Public Affairs, Mr Peter Ahemba, stated this while addressing newsmen in Lafia on the security situation.

He said the state government will not allow enemies of peace to destabilize the relative peace achieved under the present administration, assuring that all necessary measures are being taken to protect citizens.

According to him, Governor Sule has directed security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice without delay.

Mr Ahemba urged residents to provide security agencies with useful information to aid ongoing investigations, adding that government is working closely with security agencies and stakeholders to strengthen security surveillance across the state.

He appealed to the public to report suspicious activities and cooperate fully with security operatives, noting that the government remains committed to safeguarding lives and property in the state.
