The Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Husaini Adamu, has assured the newly appointed Rector of the Jigawa State Polytechnic for Information and Communication Technology, Kazaure, Associate Professor Habiba Adamu Kakudi, of his support and cooperation in strengthening the development of the institution.
The Emir gave the assurance when he received the entourage of the new Rector whom paid him a courtesy visit in his palace.
Alhaji Najib Husaini Adamu described the appointment of a woman to head the institution as a turning point in the development of the society.
He called on the staff of the college and relevant stakeholders to cooperate and support in the discharge of her duties without bias or regard to social differences.
Earlier, the Acting Rector of the college Dr. Said Adamu explained that the newly appointed rector is not new to the environment as she had served as member as well as the Chairperson of the governing council of the institution.
In her remark, the new Rector of the Jigawa State Polytechnic for Information and Communication Technology Kazaure, Associate Professor Habiba Adamu Kakudi said the visit was to seek the blessing and guidance of the Emir.
She also assured to work with all the state emirate councils to bring more development to the college.
Also speaking, the wife of the Speaker of the state House of Assembly Hajiya Zaharau Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin thanked the Emir for his readiness to support the new rector.
Zahra Dangyatin assured that she will do her best to justify the confidence reposed in her.
