Nigerian Army says it will conduct a range classification exercise for 2025 from Tuesday, 19th to Thursday, 21st August, at Yar Gaba Barracks in Dutse, Jigawa State.

This is contained in a statement signed and made available to Radio Nigeria in Dutse, by the Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, 26 Armoured Brigade, Lieutenant Uzoma Egwu-Ukpai.

According to the statement, the exercise aims to assess the proficiency of personnel in weapon handling and marksmanship.

Lieutenant Uzoma Ukpai advised the general public not to panic during the period of the exercise on seeing troops moving and hearing of gunshot, especially people living within Yargaba community.

The Acting Assistant Director also ordered people farming, hunting around the range area to keep off their farmlands and hunting area during the period.
