Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna,Comrade Abdulgaffar Alabewele has sworn-in Fatima Aliyu of FRCN as new Treasurer of the Council.

The swearing-in took place during the monthly congress meeting held at the NUJ Secretariat Kaduna.

The Chairman charged the new Treasurer to be active and work diligently in the overall interests of the Union and journalism profession.

He urged the New Treasurer and  members present to put in their best in upholding the journalism code of ethics.

In a  remark by Fatima Aliyu after the swearing-in,  promise to discharge her duties  according to established laws and also for the interest of humanity.

Comrade Fatima Aliyu  appeal to other Executive members to accord her all necessary cooperation and leverage to help her contribute her best in the service of the Union and journalism practice in the state and the nation at large.

In an Interview the Council Secretary Comrade Gambo Santos Sanga(Kakakin Ninzom) testify the Credibility of Comrade Fatima Aliyu as to handle the affairs of the Council’s Treasury with good accountability and Transparency.

The Kakakin Ninzom added that Comrade Fatima was a hard working Staff of FRCN as both of them are from the same Chapel, urging members of full support to them for good service delivery to the Council.

In attendance were the Former Council Chairman Alhaji Adamu Yusuf Manager News, Toufiq Ahmad Badaru Manager Current Affairs, Jamila Maidama among other FRCN Staff.
