Kaduna State government has called on youths to be patriotic and shun negative tendencies that bedevilled the society.
Governor Uba Sani made the call at the Twenty twenty-five Batch ‘B’ Stream One Orientation Course held at the NYSC temporary camp in Kaduna.
The governor who was represented by Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salihu encouraged corps members to familiarize themselves with the objectives and oath of the scheme which would be a potent guide throughout the service year.
He said that life on camp is regimental and the aim is to toughen them physically and mentally.
Hence the need for active participation of all camp activities and trainings.
The governor declared the orientation camp open with expectations favorable report on corps conduct.
State Coordinator of the scheme, Mrs. Efeke Murna Dadaza also urged corps members to take the trainings seriously as it offers practical experiences in administration and patriotism.
She thanked the state government for it’s tireless efforts in ensuring corps welfare and safety.
A total of two thousand and ninety-six (2,096) corps members comprising one thousand and thirty-six (1,036) males and one thousand and sixty (1,060) females were sworn-in to commence the orientation exercise.
