The National Assembly is considering the reinstatement of the suspended Rivers State Governor, Mr. Siminalayi Fubara, before the expiration of the stipulated six-month suspension period.
Minority Whip of the House of Representatives Ali Isah, disclosed this while addressing National Assembly correspondents after a meeting with the Rivers State Sole administrator in Abuja.
Ali Isah, explained that the Rivers State Sole administrator was at the house as part of the routine visits he has been paying to brief the Ad-hoc committee overseeing the Affairs of the administration.
The Minority Whip who presided the meeting on behalf of the Chairman of the Adhoc committee who doubled as the house Majority leader Prof Julius Ihonvere, expressed satisfaction with the effort the sole administrator has been making to sustain peace in the State.
He said the Sole administrator has been in contact with the key players on the Rivers State leadership cirisis, leaders of religious and traditional institutions, security agencies and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the matter has been resolved anicably for the development of the state.

The Preceding officer however, directed the Sole administrator to ensure the Rivers state leadership cirisis did not in anyway affect the payment of civil servants and retirees monthly salaries and pension as President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and the National Assembly were making everything possible to maintain democratic rule in the country.
Ali Isah, also confirmed that the ad-hoc committee will continue to interface with the Sole administrator and the executive arm to prevent extension of the suspension from the period of six months in the interest of development.
