The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has congratulated the newly appointed Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello, on his ascension to the throne as the 16th Sarkin Katsinan Gusau.
The party, in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, described the new Emir’s emergence as historic and divinely ordained, coming shortly after the demise of his father, the late Emir, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello.
The statement noted that Alhaji Abdulkadir’s virtues of truthfulness, hard work, dedication, and loyalty to his late father, as well as his respect for people of all backgrounds, distinguished him as a worthy successor.
According to the statement, this is the first time in the recent history of the emirate that a direct biological son is succeeding his father, which the party said reflects divine favour and a continuation of the righteous legacy of the late monarch.
The APC urged the new Emir to uphold the values and legacies of his father and forefathers, particularly those of the renowned Islamic scholar and traditional leader, Sambo Dan-Ashafa.
The party prayed for Allah’s guidance, protection, and wisdom for the Emir to lead the people towards peace and prosperity.
It also assured of its continued support and willingness to seek royal advice, guidance, and blessings from the new monarch.
The statement concluded with goodwill messages to the Emir and the entire Gusau Emirate Council.
