Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been urged to rally behind the newly appointed National Chairman of the party, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, in order to tackle the challenges facing the party.
The call was made by the Liaison Officer of the House of Representatives to the APC National Secretariat, Alhaji Garba-Garba Chede, while reacting to the emergence of Professor Nentawe as successor to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Alhaji Garba Chede noted that the new APC chairman has the capacity and experience expected to unite all members towards successful conduct of the party’s convention later this year to elect new leadership.
He explained that Professor Nentawe would resign from his Ministerial position to concentrate on his new responsibilities and allow selection of replacement by President Bola Tinubu to represent Plateau State in the Federal Executive Council.
The Liaison Officer stressed the need for all political leaders to abide by the nation’s Nineteen Ninety-Nine Constitution in the discharge of their duties to avoid unnecessary controversy.
