The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria-DICON has signed a memorandum of understanding with a Saudi based company-Homeland Protectors Supplies Limited.

The signing ceremony, which held at the Corporation’s headquarters in Kaduna is aimed at knowledge transfer in satellite laser systems, communication and modern security drones to Nigeria.

 

Speaking shortly after the signing ceremony, Director-General of DICON, Major General Babatunde Alaya explained that the collaboration would enhance local production capabilities for defence systems in Nigeria, with the potential to boost Nigeria’s defence industry and contribute to regional security.

He noted that the partnership would pave the way for a joint production between the two organisations, that would add value to DICON and Nigeria’s defence industry.

Major General Alaya, therefore commended President Bola Tinubu for signing the DICON act 2023 into law, which facilitated the collaboration between DICON and foreign companies.

The Director General  commended the Ministers of Defence for their continuos support to the growth and development of DICON.

Earlier in his remarks, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Homeland Protectors Supplies Limited, Mr Ali Aldayhani expressed the readiness of his company in working with DICON to boost the defence needs of Nigeria.

He expressed satisfaction with the efforts of DICON in meeting up with the defence needs of the country.

 

Mr Aldayhani also commended President Bola Tinubu for signing the DICON act 2023 into law.

The signing of the MOU had in attendance, top management staff of DICON.
