The Kano State Government (KNSG) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth and effective operations of motor parks across the state.

The commitment is part of the state government’s broader drive to enhance transportation infrastructure and create jobs.

The Managing Director of the Kano State Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Alhaji Faisal Mahmud Kabir, gave the assurance while receiving the management team of Dotsa Motor Park Kumbotso Local Government Area.

Alhaji Faisal emphasized that the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf remains steadfast in executing people-oriented projects, with transportation development being a major priority.

He revealed that the state government has mapped out strategic policies and programs aimed at modernizing the transport sector to meet global standards.

Commending the peaceful and orderly operations at Dotsa Motor Park, the KAROTA MD pledged logistical support to ensure smooth service delivery.

He further directed the park officials to formally document and submit any challenges facing the facility for review and possible intervention.

Earlier in his remarks, the Managing Director of Dotsa Motor Park, Alhaji Abubakar Zanga, noted that the park was established to complement Governor Yusuf’s employment creation efforts particularly in empowering youths through the transport sector.

Zanga appealed for sustained support from KAROTA to enable the new park to stabilize and expand.

He also assured that the park would continue to operate in line with state regulations governing motor parks.

Radio Nigeria reports that KAROTA’s core mandate includes traffic regulation, accident reduction, and ensuring the free flow of vehicles within Kano State.
