The Ahmadu Bello University College of Agriculture, Samaru, says it has made significant contributions to the training of middle-level manpower in the field of agriculture.

Provost of the College, Professor Usman Ibrahim, stated this during the matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students of the 2024/2025 academic session, held at the College premises in Samaru, Zaria.

Professor Ibrahim emphasized that the College goes beyond simply imparting knowledge, as it also challenges assumptions, pushes boundaries, and expands academic frontiers.

The Provost maintained that the collage offers programmes like Agricultural Technology, Agric and Bio Environmental Engineering Technology, Science and Laboratories Technology and Home and rural Economics among others.

Prof. Usman Ibrahim said the Programmes offered by college would greatly assist in ensuring food security and reduce poverty for self reliance.

In his remark, the Director Division for Agricultural colleges Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Professor Bashir Ahmed Babaji assured of maximum support and cooperation to the college to achieve its desired goals.

He also warned the student to avoid engaging in examination malpractice, Cultism, Drug abuse and Indecent Dressing among others.

The Director also congratulated matriculated students and urged them to focus in their study seriously to achieve success during their study.

Radio Nigeria reports that over four hundred both ND and HND students were matriculated.
