Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) has described Governor Malam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State as a “star progressive governor,” lauding his developmental strides across multiple sectors as exemplary among APC-led states.
The PGF DG made the remark during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Dutse, where he led a delegation as part of the PGF’s Legacy Documentation and Preservation Programme (LDPP).
The visit aims to highlight and preserve achievements of APC governors for public record and strategic communication.
He commended Governor Namadi’s outstanding performance in areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, education, health, youth empowerment, and digital governance, noting that the administration’s results in less than two years were already benchmarks for good governance across Nigeria.
Particular praise was given to the state’s Citizen Engagement Program, which the DG said has been adopted as a model for replication in all APC-controlled states due to its grassroots-focused, participatory governance approach.

In response, Governor Namadi thanked the PGF Secretariat for the recognition and commended the DG for introducing innovations that have kept the activities of APC governors in the national spotlight.
He noted the Secretariat’s effective media engagement and inter-state collaboration efforts.
The Governor emphasized his administration’s commitment to inclusive development, citing recorded achievements across all 27 LGAs in sectors such as healthcare delivery, educational infrastructure, agricultural expansion, and the adoption of digital systems to enhance public service efficiency.
The visit concluded with mutual commitments to deepening collaboration and scaling developmental innovations across APC states, with Jigawa standing as a reference point for impactful governance.
