The Zamfara State government says its efforts in combating banditry and terrorism are yielding results, as security forces continue to eliminate criminals threatening the state’s peace and stability.

Governor Dauda Lawal disclosed this during a special broadcast to the people of Zamfara State.

He acknowledged the long-standing security challenges in the state, particularly the menace of banditry, which has caused immense suffering for families and left many communities living in fear.

Governor Lawal reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring security and ensuring that every citizen can live without fear.

He further emphasized the urgent need for economic growth and infrastructural development, stating that his government is taking decisive steps to improve key sectors such as healthcare and road infrastructure.

He noted that the construction of the international airport is progressing steadily, a project aimed at boosting economic activities, attracting investment, and creating opportunities for the people of Zamfara.

“We are also implementing reforms in education and healthcare to improve the quality of life for our people,” the governor said.

He called on the people of Zamfara to embrace unity and peace, stressing that the challenges facing the state require collective effort and cooperation to be effectively addressed.

“Let us set aside our differences, work together as one, and support the government’s agenda for rescuing and rebuilding our dear state,” he urged.

Governor Lawal also commended philanthropists for their acts of kindness towards the less privileged during Ramadan and encouraged them to sustain their generosity beyond the holy month.

Reassuring residents of his administration’s dedication, the governor stated that his government is working tirelessly to tackle the state’s challenges.

“My dear Muslim brothers and sisters in Zamfara State and beyond, I extend my heartfelt congratulations as we mark the end of the 1446 Hijrah Ramadan fast. This holy month has been a time of deep reflection, sacrifice, and devotion to Allah (SWT).

“As we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, I urge everyone to carry forward the virtues of discipline, patience, and generosity that Ramadan has instilled in us,” he concluded.
