NUJ Kaduna State Council witness massive turnout of Journalists at the reception of the newly inaugurated executives of the Council.
The Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ newly inaugurated executives Organizes reception on New year day at the Council Secretariat in Kaduna.
In an address, the Council Chairman, Comrade Abdulgafar Alabelewa appreciated God for making the day a reality.
While applauding the “Rescue campaign team” as well as the SWAN National President, NAWOJ Chairperson Kaduna State, the representatives of the Kaduna State Government and the Road Safety Corps, Comrade Abdulgafar used the medium to appreciate his wife for understanding and supporting him in the struggle.
He pointed out that just like he has rightly stated during his Campaigns, welfare of members remains his topmost priority, with accountability.
“I want to state here that members can hold me accountable of all that pertains the Union in the state,I will not repeat what I have already stated during my campaign for the want of time, but I want to state here that we will be accountable to all.”he said.
Comrade Abdulgafar maintained that he will dissolve the “Rescue campaign team,” as they have worked hard and achieved the set objectives, explaining that his led Executive is for all members and no segregation.
The reception featured dancing session by NAWOJ along side others, present at the occasion.
The event which was well attended by Veteran Journalists,Mammoth Crowd, both past Chairmen of the Council and National as well as the family and friends of the Chairman, along side other executives had Journalists wining and dining, among others.
