.A World Bank supported Project known as Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRiN) has provided services to 2 million maternal and infant young children on Nutrition interventions in Kaduna State.

The state Project Manager Dr. Zainab Muhammad Idris stated this at the presentation of award to the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board for excellent performance in Service delivery among the 12 ANRiN implementing States.
Dr. Zainab said the Kaduna State Primary Health care Board has provided quality Services to the teaming population of beneficiaries which led to the award presentation after an assessment led by the World Bank Support Mission, Federal Ministries of Health, Finance and that of Budget and National planning.

She emphasized that ANRiN has 7 key focus areas which includes increase access to quality, cost-effective nutrition services among pregnant and lactating women, Care for adolescent girls, deworming, and treatment of malaria to children under five years of age among other interventions.

Responding, the Executive Secretary of Kaduna state Primary Health Care Board, Alhaji Hamza Abubakar, pledeged more commitment to supporting the ANRiN project towards achieving optimal health status of children in the state.

Alhaji Hamza appreciated the recognition by the world Bank project and promised to be a pacesetter Health Board or Agency in the 12 states which are implementing the program.
