Kwara state Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers, three car thieves , and recovered one locally fabricated revolver pistol.
Parading the suspects the state Commissioner of Police , Mr Paul Odama said the two armed robbery suspects were arrested in Madi area of Ilorin.
According to him the officers of the command while on surveillance patrol spotted one Abubakar Jimoh (aka)Abu Carrot and Abdulwahab Olalekan and that during a search a locally fabricated revolver pistol was found on them.
He said during interrogation the two suspects confessed that they were on a mission to operate and rob members of a group while in a meeting at Madi area of Ilorin.
Mr Odama explained that the first suspect Abubakar Jimoh (aka) Abu Carrot has been on wanted list over alleged shooting and killing of a twelve year old boy as well as assault of a pregnant mother at Adewole area of Ilorin two year ago.
The Commissioner of Police noted that while working on actionable intelligence ,personnel of the command also arrested the three other suspects who specializes in car theft and burglary.
He said during interrogation the suspects confessed to have taken part in series of house breaking, theft of electronics, motorcycles, and other items within Ilorin and Ogbomosho in Oyo state
Mr Odama maintained that all the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation are concluded.
