The North West Zone Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC Alhaji Salihu Lukman says the party will retain the presidency, the six North-west states and reclaim Sokoto state from the People’s Democratic Party.
He stated this while addressing journalist after meeting with the APC state chairmen in the zone in Kaduna.
Alhaji Salihu Lukman Salihu said the party has concluded preparations to flag-off its campaigns for the presidential, gubernatorial, national and state assemblies in the zone.
According to him, the North-west zone is set to give APC the highest votes and lead it to victory in the elections.
“this is one of our regular meetings. We met with four party chairmen from the zone. The objective of the meeting is to begin to plan for the campaign in North-west at the presidential and other levels”.
He maintained out that, North-west zone remains the backbone of the APC party.
“We took report of our readiness at each state and reviewed the development at the national level and we are optimistic that APC will sweep the polls in the North-west zone. We are taking every step to organise ourselves and pull the votes as usual. We don’t have any fear to succeed, to pull the votes and APC will win at the center and all our North-west states including even Sokoto state”.
The Northwest Zone Party Chairman also revealed that, the APC presidential campaign in North-west zone will commence from Kaduna on December 12th.
“we have agreed to make some recommendations from the presidential campaign council on what needs to be done. Stakehokders’ meeting of the zone should properly plan on the takeoff of the campaign in the North-west. We have secured a presidential campaign office for the zone along Independence Way, it should be ready within one week,”
“North-West as it is today, remains at the back bone of our party in the country and we have to take every step to demonstrate that, truly North West is the backbone of our party during the campaign”.
Alhaji Salihu Lukman added that, the party remains confident in pulling votes from the North-West.
“By God’s grace, APC will remain the party in power at the national level and all our states, including Sokoto which is today not our state; we are going to reclaim it,”
