NDA To Commission 342 Cadets In December

Cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy , NDA have been charged to remain focused, disciplined and level headed in their quest for Presidential commission.

Air Secretary NAF headquarters, Air Vice Marshal Paul Jemitola gave the charge at the battle inoculation for cadets of direct short service course twenty-six (Army) and direct short service course thirty (Airforce), held in Kachia.

Air Vice Marshal Paul Jemitola stressed the need for cadets to sustain the mastery of their tactics, techniques and procedures, as well as physical fitness level, alertness and stamina in the performance of their duties and assigned tasks after commission.

He also charged them to continue to participate in activities that would enable them develop and maintain the strength and flexibility to withstand the rigours of military tasks,and be able to make sound decisions even after periods of demanding work.

The Air Secretary explained that the battle inoculation was aimed at giving the cadets the actual battlefield experience, as well as place them in a better stead to face similar situations in a volatile, uncertain and complex security environment.

Air Vice Marshal Jemitola expressed the hope that with the reviewed training curriculum by the NDA, Nigerians should expect the best from the cadets upon their commission, as they would add value to ongoing fight against security challenges across the country.

Also speaking, Commandant of the NDA, Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf attributed the quality of training impacted on the cadets to the huge investment of the federal government with a view to addressing security challenges.

He re-iterated the determination of the Academy towards producing quality junior officers for the Armed forces who are battle ready to confront security challenges and maintain the territorial integrity of Nigeria.

A total of three hundred and forty-two cadets comprising the Army and Airforce are expected to be commissioned in December.
