The Public Relations Officer Kano state Fire Service PFS Saminu Yusif Abdullahi

Residents of Hauren Gadagi, kofar mata in Kano municipal local government area were thrown into deep mourning following the demise of two brothers, due to collapsed building.

The unfortunate incident occured on Friday afternoon, after a three storey residential building collapsed and trapped three siblings, 17 year-old Fatima Nura and her brothers Aminu Nura and Sadik Nura.

Narrating the incident, the Public Relations Officer Kano state Fire Service PFS Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, pointed out that the rescue team succeeded in retrieving the three victims from the debris, and conveyed them to Murtala Muhammad specialist hospital.

He highlighted that, 15 year old Aminu and his 11 year old brother Sadik were confirmed dead while Fatima is currently receiving medical attention after sustaining injuries.

The Public Relations Officer said investigation has commenced, to ascertain the reason behind the accident, and charged the public to report cases of drowning, collapsed building, fire outbreak among others to the nearest fire service office.

“The remains of the brothers has been handed over to Inspector Surajo Isma’ila of Kofar Wanbai Police Station”.
