The Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kano Command, Adamu Idris Zakari has reassured of its commitment in ensuring synergy and collaborations with other agencies in the state , geared toward ensuring maximum security of lives and property.

Commandant Adamu Zakari stated this when the received the newly posted Brigade Commander of the 3 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Jami’u Olayinka Aare and the new Commissioner of Police, Abubakar Lawal Daura who paid separate visits to the corp’s headquarters in Kano.

Mr. Adamu Idris Zakari expressed his happiness with the robust relationships existing between the Corps and the Army and acknowledged the support the Nigerian Army has always been rendering to the NSCDC since its inception.

Earlier in his remarks, the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Jami’u Olayinka said he was at the headquarters to familiarize himself with the command and to also explore areas of collaboration .

” I was told there has been synergy among all the Security agencies in the state. This greatly helps in bringing peace and security in the ancient city of Kano”.

” NSCDC is a critical security stakeholder and you have an important role to play in the security architecture of the country.”

“You’re doing your work diligently and you should continue to do it to the best of your ability”. General Olayinka concluded.

Similarly, the State Commandant, NSCDC Adamu Idris Zakari, also played host to the newly deployed Commissioner of Police, Kano Command, CP Abubakar Lawal Daura.

” I’m highly privileged to receive you and I welcome to Kano. This visit is historic. Obviously, the relationship between the Nigeria Police and Civil Defence in Kano is is cordial, we’ve been working together and that is why Kano is safe. I believe with this visit, the existing good relationship will be maintained and strengthened”, Commandant Adamu fsi said.

In his remarks during the visit, CP Abubakar Daura expressed his delight with the warm reception accorded by the Corps, maintaining that this clearly shows the respect the NSCDC have for the Nigeria Police.

“We need to collaborate to internally secure Kano and its environs. It’s a relief to the police that the NSCDC now handle some Security jobs and you’re doing it diligently. I implore you to continue to do more so as to jointly provide the needed securiy of lives and property”, CP Daura concluded.
