Zamfara Govt Donates 100 Bags Of Rice, Others To Victims Of Sakajiki Attack

Zamfara State government has donated one hundred bags of rice, other relief materials and five hundred thousand naira to the victims of recent attack at Sakajiki village in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.

This was disclosed in a statement to Radio Nigeria in Gusau by the Director General Press Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office, Babangida Umar Zurmi.

Addressing the victims at Unguwar Sarkin Musulmi Railway Junction Kaura-Namoda, the Deputy Governor, Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha said the gesture was meant to alleviate their suffering adding that, the government is doing its best to ensure that banditry has become thing of the past.

Sympathizing with victims, the Deputy Governor explained that the State Government under the leadership of Governor Bello Matawalle is taking necessary measures to address the issue of banditry and other criminal activities within the state to avoid the destruction of lives and property of citizens.

Senator Muhammad also the Jarman Gusau expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment and concerned demonstrated by the Council Sole Administrator Nasiru Altine Yakamata for his quick response and timely reporting of the incident to the constituted authorities for prompt and necessary action.

He reiterated the State Government’s commitment to ensuring that the victims have returned to their respective houses, emphasising that the government was equally mobilising adequate security personnel to take charge of the area.

The Deputy Governor on behalf of the State Governor, announced the donations of one hundred bags of rice and the sum of five hundred thousand naira to the affected people.
