Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari has called on Muslims to intensify prayers for peace and stability in the country.
This is contained in a statement, to commemorate the new Islamic year 1444 A.H, signed by Director Press and Public Affairs Kano state House of Assembly, Malam Uba Abdullahi and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.
The new Islamic year message points out that it is really a blessing by Allah (S.W.T) to witness the new year and urged people to abide by the Islamic injunctions for peaceful coexistence.
Similarly, Engineer Chidari used the opportunity to congratulate the Executive Governor of Kano state, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his commitment and dedication in mapping out policies and programs aimed at moving the state forward.
While commending Imams and Ulamas for being steadfast in prayers, he charged them to maintain the tempo as prayer is the only way out of the present predicament bedevilling the nation.
He stressed the need for parents to always monitor their children, inculcate moral values among youths and report any suspected person or character to relevant authorities.
