Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has declared Friday (July 29) work-free day for civil servants in the state to enable them register and obtain their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).

A statement by governor AbdulRazq ,Chief Press Secretary ,Rafiu Ajakaye said the holiday comes as the INEC closes the continuous voter registration exercise on July 31.

The statement urged the residents of the State and the civil servants, to take full advantage of the holiday to perform their civic duty of registering to vote.

The Statement advised them to ensure they collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) after registration.

The statement urged parents to encourage their dependants who are of voting age to register to enable them exercise their franchise.END
