The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has canceled this year’s June 12 democracy day celebration.

A statement by the Governor Akeredolu’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde says this is due to the terror attack on worshippers at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, on Sunday 5th June, 2022.

It says the decision was to enable the entire people of Ondo State mourn their loved ones who died in the horrific attack.

Meanwhile, flags are still being flown at half -mast for seven days in honour of the victims of the attack.
