The Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II has reaffirmed his Emirate’s readiness to partner with relevant stakeholders in uplifting the standard of education according to global standards.

Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim stated this while receiving members of civil society action coalition on education for all (CSACEFA),who were in his palace as part of activities to commemorate global action week for education (GAWE) 2022.

According to the Emir, Karaye emirate council has proposed the establishment of federal university of Agriculture as well as a college of education.

He commended CSACEFA for reaching out to rural communities and charged others to emulate their kind gesture

In his remarks the state focal person of CSACEFA Dr. Auwal Khalil Tudun kaya, pointed out that 25th to 29th of April was set aside by the United Nations to ensure transformative, inclusive and equitable quality education for all.

He maintained that the event will focus attention on increasing enrollment of girl child ,orphans and vulnerable groups into primary schools.

Meanwhile,the group also visited Turawa ward in karaye local government area, to sensitize the general public about the importance of education.

In his remarks the patron of CSACEFA, Professor M.B Shitu called on the general public to contribute their quota to the development of education.

He described education as the back bone of any meaningful society as such there was the urgent need for government and relevant stakeholders to work asidiously to achieve the desired objectives.

The event was marked by advocacy visits, sensitization, presentation of learning materials to some students, questions and answers session among others.
