Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya says Nigerian Army will defeat all security challenges bedeviling the development of the Nation.

General Yahaya made the pledge while Commissioning Units of Accommodation at 73 Battalion Janguza Barracks, Kano.

He said He was in Kano to Visit the troops of the Nigerian Army on the Ground at the 73 Battalion to boost and ginger their morale, with the Aim of Curtailing the country’s varying Security Challenges.

The Chief of Army Staff said he had visited Almost all Army formations in various parts of the Nation, stressing that the troops were winning the fight against insurgents in all parts of the nation.

The army chief Applauded the Commitment of President Mohammad Buhari in Providing all the logistics and equipment required in achieving maximum success in the fight against insecurity.

He reassured the troops that the Army leadership would not relent in improving the welfare of officers and men, especially through the provision of befitting Accommodation.

The aim, he stressed, was to boost the morale of troops for effective service delivery.

Speaking during a courtesy call at Kano State Government House, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje told the visiting Chief of Army Staff and his entourage that his Administration had begun to use technology to monitor activities in the Kano metropolitan area and in Falgore forest, adding that it was in keeping with current measures to curb criminal activities in the state.

Governor Ganduje said he was buoyed by the “strong synergy” among the Army, Air Force, police, DSS and other security organisations, such as the customs and NDLEA, among others.
