Kano State Fire Service has confirmed the death of a 95 year old man, Malam Hamisu Zakari at Gaida Tsakuwa by Primary School in Kumbotso local area.

Narrating the incidence, the Public Relations Officer of the Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi explained that the fire service recieved a distress call from Malam Abubakar Ado Diso at 6:50 am that an old man was trapped in his house.

He pointed out that, a rescue team was quickly mobilized from Kumbotso fire station where they succeeded in breaking into the house and retrieving the dead body of the old man who lives alone.

The Public Relations Officer noted that investigation has commenced to unravel the mystery behind the death of Malam Hamisu.

Similarly, a multiple road accident has claimed 7 lives at Lausa, Kibiya road in Rano local government area.

The Public Relations Officer of the Kano state Fire service said two vehicles, a golf saloon car and a lorry collided with each other while trying to dodge a motorcycle that has overtaken the two vehicles.

He attributed the accident to the reckless motor cycle rider who was driving on top speed while trying to overtake the two vehicles.

Saminu Yusif pointed out that 15 people were involved in the accident, 7 lost their lives while 8 are currently recieving treatment at Rano specialist hospital after sustaining various degree of injuries.

He cautioned motorists against over speeding and urged the general public to maintain safety at all times by abiding by traffic rules and regulations.
