Zamfara State Police Command has successfully rescued 2 students of the Kidnapped students of Federal Government Collage Birnin Yauri of Kebbi State through the personnel of Operation Restore Peace.

During a press briefing at Police Headquarters in Gusau, CP Hussaini Rabi’u said the rescued students were Maryam Abdulkareem ‘F’ 15 years from Wushishi Local Government Area of Niger State and Faruk Buhari ‘M’ 17 years of Wara Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The duo were rescued at about 3am of Saturday at Babbar Doka village in Dansadau District of Maru Local government area in Zamfara State.

According to the CP who presented the rescued students to journalists today (Sunday) said they were medically checked and debriefed.

CP Hussaini noted that, they will convey them to Kebbi State Police Command for onward handover to Kebbi State Government to reunite them with their respective families.

He urged general public especially those living around Dansadau area to help the Police with credible intelligence to rescue the remaining students who are still in captivity.

Fatima Abdullahi, an Aunt to rescued Maryam who arrived Police headquarters in Gusau with curiosity to see Maryam expressed gratitude to Allah and the Police for the safe rescue of the students.
