Zamfara State Police Command has confirmed the rescue of 4 Women who were abducted from Bilbiis village of Tsafe Local Government Area of the State.
In a statement made available to Radio Nigeria in Gusau, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Muhammad Shehu said, the women were kidnapped three weeks ago by suspected bandits which prompted the Commissioner of Police, CP Hussaini Rabi’u who deployed Tactical Operatives attached to “Operation Restore Peace” to the area with a mandate to rescue the women safely.
According to him, the operatives who acted on credible intelligence on Friday (25th June, 2021) successfully rescued the kidnapped victims safely.
SP Shehu noted that, the victims were medically treated at a hospital have also been debriefed by the police and reunited with their family.
He added that, the Command is making efforts to arrest the perpetrators in order to face the full wrath of the law.
