Residents of Amule Oloko-obi in Ilorin East local government area of Kwara state have commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the creation of new polling units in the area.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, the family of Daudu Amule Oloko-obi royal dynasty, led by Abubakar Aliyu said that creation of the new polling unit will enhance electoral process and participation in the area.

He called on INEC to discountenance all entreaties by some groups of people to effect any change in the new creation.

According to him, the community had for a long time clamoured for additional polling units due to increasingly large number of electorate in the area.

Aliyu explained that the step taken by the electoral body should be commended by all.
