Jigawa State has distributed about 960 cows and rams to members of Miyettti Allah and Kautal hore under its empowerment programme in the state.

Senior Special Adviser to Governor Badaru Abubakar on empowerment Alhaji Muhammad Shehu Mujaddadi stated this while presenting the animals to beneficiaries in Dutse.

According to him, government had so far distributed 240 cows to the 120 male beneficiaries.

Alhaji Muhammad Shehu Mujaddadi further explained that 720 goats were also given to selected women from different part of the state which made them self reliant.

In a speech, Chairman state chapter of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Umar Kabir Dubantu commended the effort of governor Badaru Abubakar for the gesture.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Radio Nigeria promised to utilize what was given to them judiciously.
