From ALI MUHAMMAD RABIU (Kwara)

Kwara state government has directed Tertiary institutions in the state to resume for academic activities on January 11, 2021, under adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols.

This is contained in a statement issued by Spokesman to Kwara State Technical Committee on COVID-19, Rafiu Ajakaye in Ilorin.

According to him, the authorities of the institutions should ensure the use of face mask is mandatory on the campus and in lecture rooms.

Ajakaye explained that elementary schools in the state are scheduled to resume on January 18, 2021, subject to new developments on the pandemic.

He advised all members of the public to take responsibilities and ensure strict adherence to protocols already outlined to flatten the curve of transmission of the virus.
