The daughter of the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Kaduna Branch, Barrister Baba Lawal, Aisha Baba Lawal, has died after a brief illness.

Aisha died on Thursday evening. She was a 100-level Mass Communication student at Kaduna State University.

Her Janazah prayer is scheduled to hold on Friday at Sultan Bello Mosque, Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna, after the Jumu’ah prayer.

In a statement, the Publicity Secretary of the NBA Kaduna Branch, Barrister Sani Shehu Idris, said the Association received the news of Aisha’s death with profound sadness.

“On behalf of the Executive Committee and the entire members of the Branch, we extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to our Chairman and the entire family over this painful and irreparable loss,” the statement said.

The Association noted that the loss of a child was one of the most profound pains a parent could endure, adding that it stood in solidarity with its Chairman and his family during the difficult period.

It also prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the family the strength, patience and fortitude to bear the loss.

The statement further prayed that Allah would forgive Aisha’s shortcomings, grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus, illuminate and widen her grave, and make her resting place a garden of Paradise.

It also prayed that Allah would comfort the family, reward them abundantly for their love and care, and reunite them with their beloved daughter in Jannatul Firdaus.
