National Information Technology Development Agency NITDA has trained over 150,000 Nigerians on Information Technology last year. 

The Director General, Alhaji Kashifu Abdullahi made this known in an interview with newsmen in Dutse, the jigawa state capital. 

According to him, the training was conducted online, classes and other social media platform.

Alhaji Kashifu Abdullahi said out of the number, 70,000 were trained on online.

He explained that the ICT was the third source of socio economic wellbeing apart from agriculture and financial aspect.

He said with the training received a number of Nigerians have the advantage of ICT which enable them improve their socio economic well being.

The Director General added that a number of policies were introduced by the agency to ensure that people have ICT knowledge in order to attain the millennium development goals.
